About Vanilla Ace

Sam Young aka Vanilla Ace from London, UK has been DJing since he was 17, growing up on a healthy dose of hip hop, drum & bass and house music. In 2012 he created the Vanilla Ace alias to make a new brand of house music infused with all his favourite influences.

Vanilla Ace has had a steady stream of releases on labels Nurvous, Suara, Simma Black, Enormous, LouLou Records, Milk & Sugar to name a few and collaborations with Sharam Jey & Illusionize on Bunny Tiger and remixing the likes of Basement Jaxx, Destructo, Yolanda Be Cool, Deadmau5, Vintage Culture, Kylie and Moon Boots to name a few. Vanilla Ace continued his quest to create quality house music with bass and groove. He was named as one of Beatport’s Top 10 best selling Nu Disco/Indie Dance Artist for 2014 and for 2015.

Touring globally, Vanilla Ace has toured North America, Brazil, Australia, South Africa and India. Playing to over 12,000 people in Green Valley, Brazil this summer to Holy Ship and HARD Summer festivals in Miami and LA to Egg club in London and playing alongside the likes of Amine Edge & Dance, Shiba San, Patrick Topping and Breach.

The SF based duo was one of the most sought after up and coming acts in the Bay Area and was been popping up all over the nightlife radar in 2015. Boasting residencies with the hottest clubs, best weekly events & biggest promoters in The City, the tandem tore up shows at an exponential rate.

In the short time between since their inception, the demand for their unique blend of genres and generation spanning sounds landed them gigs sharing the decks with legends including the likes of Nicky Romero, Thomas Gold, Crookers, Chris Lake & Moguai just to name a few. Spinning everything from Future, Tech and G-house to Love Trap, Electro and Progressive, 1Accord proved to possess both a talent and passion for thrilling crowds of different demographics in various sized venues.
